Build real internal tools
in hours, not quarters.

A safe, fully-curated AI dev kit for Samba TV executives. One install command. Real software shipped on day one. Yours to keep.

Samba-vetted Safety hooks default-on 15-minute setup
Why this exists

The hackathon is the trojan horse.
The capability is the gift.

Samba execs are drowning in workflows that shouldn't exist anymore — manual triage, copy-pasted briefings, dashboards that take a week to build. You don't need to learn to code. You need a kit that lets AI do it for you, safely.

We've curated the best of gstack — Garry Tan's vibe-coding skill bundle, originally built for tech CEOs — combined it with Samba's existing brand, data, and measurement skills, and wrapped it in safety defaults so nothing breaks. The hackathon is one day. The kit stays installed forever.

What's inside

Three layers. One install.

Everything is curated, tested, and Samba-supported. No random open-source roulette.

How it works

From "got the email" to shipping software, in one day.

Every exec runs four commands. The kit handles the rest.

DAY 0 · 15 MIN

Install

One curl command. GitHub auth, brand assets, safety hooks all configured automatically.

MORNING · 5 MIN

Start

Tell Claude what you want to build. Forcing questions if vague. Repo scaffolded, template loaded, edit boundary locked.

ALL DAY · VIBE CODE

Build

Prompt-driven development. Claude writes, you direct. Every command checked for safety. Every commit reviewed.

DEMO · 2 MIN

Ship

Live URL on samba.tv. Branded PDF handout. Screenshot for the win.

Install

One command.

Open Terminal on your Mac. Paste this. Hit return. Total time: ~15 minutes.

curl -fsSL https://samba.tv/hackathon | bash
Install endpoint goes live the week of the hackathon. Save this page and come back.

Requires: macOS, an active @samba.com Google Workspace account, and a GitHub account. The script will install missing prerequisites (bun, gh CLI, Claude Code) automatically.

The hackathon

Build something you wish existed.

Theme: a workflow you keep doing manually, that should already be a tool. Build it. Demo it. Keep using it.

Format: One day. ~10 execs. Real laptops, real problems, real software. Pair programming with Claude welcome and encouraged. No prior coding experience required.

Date: TBD — coordinating with leadership now. Watch #ai-task-force for the announcement.

FAQ

Common questions.

I don't code. Is this actually for me?
Yes. This is built for non-engineers. Claude does the writing — you do the directing. The hardest part is being clear about what you want to build. Everything else (file editing, deploys, debugging) is handled by the kit.
What if I break something?
You can't, by design. The kit auto-enables three safety hooks at install: destructive commands (rm -rf, force pushes, etc.) are blocked unless you confirm; AI is locked to a single project folder so it can't touch your system files; secrets are sandboxed and never sent to the LLM. If you ever feel uncertain, run /guard.
What can I actually build?
Internal dashboards. Workflow automation tools. Slack bots. Brief generators. Email triage tools. Anything that's a personal pain you'd save time on. The 5 starter templates cover the common cases — fork one, modify the prompt, ship.
Will my data stay safe?
Yes. Everything runs locally on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded except what you explicitly publish. Salesforce/GitHub credentials live in encrypted env files, not in prompts. Deploys go to a Samba-gated Cloudflare Pages URL that requires @samba.com SSO.
What if I get stuck?
Three options: (1) Ask Claude — it's good at debugging. (2) Run /investigate — systematic root-cause analysis. (3) Ping the #ai-task-force Slack channel — staffed live during hackathon.
Does the kit keep working after the hackathon?
Absolutely — that's the whole point. The hackathon is the forcing function. The capability stays. Most participants will use the kit weekly afterwards: scraping competitor pricing, drafting briefs, prototyping internal tools, generating dashboards on the fly.
Who's behind this?
The Samba TV AI Task Force, led by Sid Dani (Lead AI Product Manager). Built on top of gstack by Garry Tan, with attribution. Endorsed for internal use only.
