One install. Build with Claude for the rest of your time at Samba.

Pre-wired Claude Code with gstack, Samba's brand and data skills, and safety defaults — already turned on. Open Terminal, paste one command, start prompting. Yours to keep.

Samba-vetted Safe by default ~15-minute setup Mac + Windows (WSL)
Why this exists

The setup is the gift.

Most Samba employees who want to build with AI hit the same wall: too many skills installed, no clear "start here," no Samba context, no safety defaults. Bootstrap is the curated entry point. Open Claude Code, type a slash command, get real work done — without learning the whole ecosystem first.

It's the same gstack that startup founders use to ship software with AI, plus the Samba skills you already have on your laptop, plus a single welcome screen telling you which 12 commands matter. Install once. Build for years.

What's inside

Three layers. One install.

Every piece is curated, tested, and Samba-supported. No random open-source roulette.

New · The Samba layer

Bootstrap glue

The thin wrapper that makes it feel like a Samba product, not a random install. Six files, that's it.

  • One-command installer
  • Samba context preamble (loaded into every skill)
  • Curated welcome cheat-sheet
  • Default safety hooks (auto-on)
  • Skill visibility filter
  • Samba-authored README + support
How it works

Install once. Use forever.

Four steps from "got the link" to "shipping real tools."

STEP 1 · 15 MIN

Install

One curl command. GitHub auth, brand assets, safety hooks all configured automatically.

STEP 2 · 30 SEC

Open Claude Code

Your welcome screen shows the ~12 commands you'll actually use. No overwhelm.

STEP 3 · ANY TIME

Prompt + build

Tell Claude what you want. It writes the code. You direct. Safety hooks block destructive commands automatically.

STEP 4 · WHEN READY

Ship

Type /ship. Live URL on samba.tv, gated to your team.

Install

One command.

Open Terminal on your Mac (or WSL on Windows). Paste this. Hit return. Total time: ~15 minutes.

curl -fsSL https://samba.tv/bootstrap | bash
Install endpoint goes live soon. Save this page.

Requires: macOS or Windows with WSL, an active @samba.com Google Workspace account, and a GitHub account. The script will install missing prerequisites (bun, gh CLI, Claude Code) automatically.

Who this is for

Anyone at Samba who wants AI to do the typing.

Execs: Build the workflows you keep doing manually. Dashboards, briefings, automations, internal tools. Ship in hours, use for years.

PMs & Ops: Prototype the thing before asking engineering to build it. Validate ideas at the speed of conversation.

Engineers: Same kit your CEO uses. Pair-program with Claude using opinionated, tested skills.

Anyone else: If you can describe what you want, you can build it. No prior coding experience required.

FAQ

Common questions.

I don't code. Is this actually for me?
Yes. This is built for non-engineers. Claude does the writing — you do the directing. The hardest part is being clear about what you want to build. Everything else (file editing, deploys, debugging) is handled by the kit.
What if I break something?
You can't, by design. Bootstrap auto-enables safety hooks at install: destructive commands (rm -rf, force pushes, etc.) are blocked unless you confirm; AI can be locked to a single project folder so it can't touch your system files; secrets are sandboxed and never sent to the LLM. If you ever feel uncertain, run /guard.
What can I actually build?
Internal dashboards. Workflow automation tools. Slack bots. Brief generators. Email triage tools. Anything that's a personal pain you'd save time on. Start with one of your own real problems — that's the best forcing function.
Will my data stay safe?
Yes. Everything runs locally on your laptop. Nothing is uploaded except what you explicitly publish. Salesforce/GitHub credentials live in encrypted env files, never in prompts. Deploys go to a Samba-gated Cloudflare Pages URL that requires @samba.com SSO.
What if I get stuck?
Three options: (1) Ask Claude — it's good at debugging. (2) Run /investigate for systematic root-cause analysis. (3) Ping the #ai-task-force Slack channel.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes — through WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux). One-time setup with wsl --install in PowerShell, then the same install command works in your Ubuntu terminal. GitHub Codespaces is a backup if WSL is blocked by IT.
Who's behind this?
